When doing OOL meditations, sometimes I am "there" and just see a bunch of light and sometimes I am outside looking at myself (Mine often resembles an Egg - not quite what Ariel is describing, the Egg of Light). I see both, but I don't yet know if there is any effect or impact of it being one way or the other.
Anyone elsehave this?

Thanks for bringing this up @Conor Sunwolf , I have been meaning to ask this question for a long time! Just out of curiosity of course. I have felt that I wanted to nail down my orb as it varied for me as well... sometimes viewing it from within and sometimes without, sometimes like a hollow light bubble and sometimes like a solid light. At this point Ive been spending regular time in my orb for over a year and I figure that I should just go with the flow of the variances.
I have found in doing this work if I expect nothing to be any particular way at all, magic happens. I feel you, I often want to make sure I’m really doing the orb of light right, but when I let go sometimes it will show itself to me in a way I didn’t expect (feeling, awareness, images). I find the principle of letting go of specifics or outcomes applies in the practice of visualization too. For example, sometimes I start out with a visualization that’s very specific in trance (which you wanna be disciplined about for spell work) ... but if I’m in trance visualization mode and I let go, sometimes I’ll have visions I’m not “trying” to have, and those are always the most amazing!! So... long way of saying that letting go of any specifics, not judging and letting your visualization be what it is is an open gate to magic 🪄
