So I've been wondering about this: I recall in a few lectures the idea that once a spell is done, to forget about it and not go over it, i.e. akin to digging up a plant to see if it's growing. =o) - while with others, say, rosary or novena style, or even the Grand Incantation from MMC, the point is to repeat the spell for several days.
So now I'm wondering when to 'set it & forget it' and when to repeat for cycle. E.g. I'm enjoying the Cord Magic spell, and my instinct is to repeat it daily, rosary style. When is that appropriate vs undoing the spell. Please enlighten me.
It depends on the spell. If you have predetermined a number of days for the spell, then you complete those days. For Psalm magic and some other types of spells, we cast daily until we get a sense of peace and certainty about the situation, and then we stop. Even with the Rosary, we don't cast for the same thing indefinitely. We stop once we get a sense of peace and certainty about the situation. BB
