Many associate the Tetragrammaton with being the true name of God. It is spelled Yod-Heh-Vav-Heh (יהוה). A Witch's Primer teaches practitioners how to build their power body over four weeks. The elements that create your power body are fire, water, air, and earth.
Yod is the letter that represents your fire body. Heh is the letter that represents your water body. Next up is Vav your air body. Last, we have Heh, which represents your earth body. Yod-Heh-Vav-Heh Fire, Water, Air, Earth.
The problem with the Tetragrammaton is that people have been brainwashed into believing it’s just a male god named Yahweh/Jehovah for hundreds of years. Yes, you can read it that way, but from a magical standpoint, it's an actual formula.
The Tetragrammaton as a Creative Force
I don’t view the Tetragrammaton as a deity. It is actually representative of the universe's creative power. The four letters are arranged in this order because that's how things are created (magically speaking). Yod-Heh-Vav-Heh represents fire, water, air, and earth, which correspond to the way we project our will via magic.
The Meaning of the Letters
The first letter, Yod, symbolizes a hand. The letter Heh represents a window, while Vav signifies a peg or a nail. Finally, the final Heh represents another window. So we have the sequence: hand, window, peg, window.
This sequence provides a formula for magic—how to integrate the four bodies you've developed in A Witch's Primer into one powerful method for manifesting anything you desire in your life.
Yod – Fire Body (The Hand, Will)
The Yod represents fire. Yod also means a hand. A hand that represents your will, your will to achieve something. Let’s say you want a new computer. Yod, the first letter, represents your will to want that item.
When you want something you need to be specific about what you want. This is the spark of creation, the wanting to create or have something of value. This first letter is that spark; that fire. It’s your will to create what you want to happen.
Remember when in A Witch’s Primer we build up that body of fire. We are refining our will to become razor sharp to bring into reality what we want. When you want that computer, what you want is a holy desire.
Understand this, when you want that computer you aren’t simply exerting your will. You are connecting to the greater will of the universe that you have a computer. Accept it as holy. Accept your desire as sacred.
Heh – Water Body (The Window, Emotion)
The first "Heh," the second letter, represents a window. This window symbolizes your water body. Think of water as a reflection; in this context, the window acts more like a mirror. It reflects your emotional experience that reflects your desire.
Initially, the fire represents pure will; next, that will is mirrored in this window, in this pool, reflecting your emotions. When you aim to manifest something through magic, your will must be paired with an emotionalized version of that will. Will alone lacks potency unless it is accompanied by its feminine counterpart, which is emotion, or the water body.
To build your emotional body, your water body, you need to engage deeply with your emotions. You must become familiar with how to feel deeply. In magic, it is essential to learn how to conjure emotions at will. Your will, coupled with the emotionalization of your desire, enables you to realize it.
Focus on what you desire and ask yourself what that desire means to your emotional self. Where do you feel that sensation in your body? What is your desire? What emotion surfaces when you think of it? Now breathe into that emotion and empower it. The first "Heh" is you gaining the ability to link that emotion with your will.
When you focus on what you truly desire, take a moment to feel emotionally connected to what you desire and make those emotions physical for you. As you build your will (fire within you) and your emotions (water within you) they will begin to affect each other. This is simply how the universe works. You have both masculine and feminine energies inside you. Willpower and emotion mix together in your mind. By allowing this to happen you create... reaction and response.
What happens when you combine water and fire? They form steam, vapor, or air. The letter "Vav," which is the third letter.
Vav – Air Body (The Peg, Vision)
Letter Vav means a peg or nail. Think of a peg or nail as something that stabilizes something else, like a nail in wood. When most people think of air body they think of vapor. Vapor is shapeless and dispersed. If you want to work effective magic you need to condense that vapor.
Look at a steam engine or pressure cooker. You need to “peg” that vapor. You need to condense it. This is a huge concept to understand with the third step of the formula. You are condensing your desire into a visual image.
Visualization is hard for many because when they read about creative visualization they feel like they can’t do magic if they can’t see clear images in their mind. Everybody visualizes, you might just not know how you do it. Think about when someone tells you a story or when you read a story. Visualization.
You may not see pictures clearly but you can still create a mental image whatever that looks like for you of what you want. That is precisely what we are doing with the third step of the formula. We are condensing our will, and our emotion attached to that will into a blueprint, into an image.
The more we put energy into that image building it the more we are adding fire, water, air as we condense it. All of a sudden there is a distillation and what rises up is the end result. The physical representation of your desire.
Final Heh – Earth Body (The Window, Manifestation)
The final Heh symbolizes the physical realization of that which you desire. If you were to make your own essential oil, you'd have to start with some plant material. Then you add water, boil the mixture, condense the steam, and then separate the steam from the essential oil. What remains is the essential oil itself. We do the same thing with magic, except we're extracting our desires into manifestation.
By this point, you know it’s not a desire anymore or even a wish. It’s beyond thoughts or feelings about what you want to happen. Your desire has become a manifestation – that’s what the final Heh represents. It opens a new window for your eyes to see. You have to gaze through that window, which holds the realization of your desires coming true.
Align yourself with your desire and recognize that it has already manifested. You don’t need to think, hope, or believe; you simply know with 100% certainty that what you want is on its way. You can accelerate the manifestation process by practicing gratitude as if your desire is already present in your life. This approach informs your deep mind that there is no resistance because it has already happened. Once your mind believes this, nothing will stop you from manifesting your desires.
Manifesting Desires through the Tetragrammaton
The tetragrammaton serves as a practical magical framework, it's the integration of your four magical bodies to create something. Regardless of your chosen operation while casting a spell—whether that be mental work, using talismans, candles, or other tools—what matters is that the four steps must be followed, even if we don't explicitly refer to it as the Tetragrammaton formula.
You will need to work with the sequence of fire, water, air, and earth to manifest. When you know the tetragrammaton, you will realize you are manifesting just like the universe is. First, you think, “Let there be a computer,” then you emote about that thought. That is when you split the earth from the firmament and watch the mists rise out of your emotion.
Your fire body meets your water body. Your willpower meets your emotions, and it causes a vapor to rise. But what you don’t want to do is watch the vapor just rise. You want to take that vapor and "nail it down.”
To get what you want, you must condense your thoughts. See what you want vividly until you see it start to manifest through the window of your mind. But it goes beyond just seeing it because you KNOW what you want is showing up.
You give gratitude that what you desire is yours. You say, “I’m so thankful that my computer is mine.” You feel that feeling of KNOWING it's there, then you LET IT GO.
The Power of Letting Go
After you have cast your spell, allow yourself to rest. Once you know something is coming, you don’t have to worry or try to force it; you just relax and know it’s already happened. You completely put it out of your mind. When you reach this point, things start showing up out of nowhere in your life. Dr. Murphy used to say it pops up like toast out of the toaster.
When you let go, it shows up when you least expect it. If you continue to stare around the corner waiting for it or peek underneath the hood, that desire will keep driving away from you. You have to allow yourself to forget about your desire, so when it happens out of nowhere, it’ll surprise you.
Faith completes the manifestation process. Letting go of trying to control how, when, and where your manifestation shows up allows the magic to work. You learn to let go and let magic happen. You trust that it is showing up and take a hands off approach. When you don't interfere you are in a place of power to receive the manifestation you desire.
Conclusion
Learning to work with the power of the Tetragrammaton allows you to understand the vibratory rate that the Universe uses when it creates. When you align your Fire, Water, Air, and Earth bodies, you literally move from the place of "wishing" things to change to actually changing them.
Remember your formula: Will + Emotion + Vision = Manifestation! Once you have focused your magical intentions on something, it's important to LET IT GO. Allow the Universe to bring it to you. Be as confident in the outcome as you are that the sun will rise each day. You are powerful—now go create!

I thought there would be a spell along with this?
