I do this for many reasons: ethical considerations, experiential concerns, pedagogical ones, and more. This is not to say that it’s never okay to help others through magic, but I do believe that the majority of all magic is best worked for the benefit of yourself, not others.

The Mirror of Reality: It has been claimed by some that our objective three-dimensional world, the very substance of space and time in which we live, is a mirror of sorts. What we project into this screen of space and time is reflected back to us. We then interact with this reflection as if it were the causal reality.

Occult means “hidden.” So a proper occult initiation implies that you are being called to experience knowledge, practices, and ways of being that are hidden from most. This isn’t about being elitist or joining a secret society. It is about the alchemical transformation of the soul.

Magic. The word itself conjures images of mystery and power. At their core, the principles of magic are simply the art and science of the Magi. The practices of harnessing unseen forces to manifest desired changes, both within consciousness and in the physical world, is all driven by the practitioner’s will.

The Psalms are ancient texts filled with wisdom and potent magical formulas applicable to any circumstance. A core principle of the Psalmic Initiatory Path is that each Psalm holds maximal power – no one Psalm is inherently stronger than another. While certain Psalms may resonate more with specific situations, their true power lies in their adaptability. Any Psalm, when used with the Psalm Magic formula, can effectively address your needs.

Claiming your power: I often say there are no witch police, and it’s a vital reminder because the core principle of the Craft is simple: do what you will. Nobody has the authority to dictate your magic, your magical practice, or your journey. You have the freedom to explore and shape your path as you see fit.
