Reality as a Reflection: The Power of Thought Forms and Manifestation

When you look in the mirror, you don't try to fix your hair by touching the reflection. You know the mirror simply reflects what's on your side of the glass. Similarly, it's been said that the physical world is a kind of mirror—a perfect example of reality as a reflection. What our consciousness projects onto this "screen of space" is reflected back to us as our reality, shaped by our thought forms and manifestation.
Of course, there are differences. For one thing, this "screen" is not flat. It projects a three-dimensional reflection. You feel as though you could reach out and touch it. It doesn't feel like looking into a mirror where you know your hand would pass right through. But then again, this three-dimensional world we see around us is very similar to color. Color does not exist on its own. It is simply our brain interpreting the light that bounces off objects.
In the same way, every aspect of the world we experience through our senses is a helpful illusion. It allows us to navigate and interact with our environment, but what we're truly interacting with is reality as a reflection—a screen showing us what's happening within our own consciousness, shaped by our thought forms and manifestation.
Understanding the Illusion of Reality
We're trained to accept the world around us—the "screen of space"—as solid, real, and powerful. We believe our internal state depends on external circumstances: we're happy when things go our way, we fall in love when someone treats us well, and we feel successful when the world gives us money.
We live our lives transactionally, trying to manipulate the external world as if it were separate from us. In reality, the world is a reflection of our own consciousness, both personal and collective.
When you start to entertain the idea that reality is malleable and can be changed by your will, you must first understand the unreality of the world. Until you can look at everything and know it isn't what it seems, you have no power to create. You're still affected by what's "out there."
For example, I see a table. I've been given information about tables my whole life, so I assume it's solid and has a specific purpose. I take for granted that I understand what it is and what it means. But if I saw the world from a different perspective, I'd realize that the table is just a collection of spinning atoms, creating the illusion of a table. My senses and my programming tell me to use it as a solid surface, but without them, I might see that the table is just a temporary construct—an illusion.
When I can look out at the world and recognize that nothing is truly as it appears, I move into a position of power. From there, I can begin to change things into what I want them to be. But until I can tell the difference between the reflection and the true reality, I'm stuck believing the reflection is all there is.
Faith and Thought Forms
When you look in a mirror to fix your hair, you know you can't change your reflection directly. The reflection is just an image. In the same way, the world around us is reality as a reflection, mirroring what's in our minds. Understanding this principle is the first step to seeing how thought forms and manifestation shape the universe. You can then begin to build thought forms that create your reality. This process is not about receiving favors from a higher power—it's about actively creating your own life experiences through the power of thought forms and manifestation.

The objective universe is a reflection, and we have the power to influence it. To find out how much influence we have, we must practice. This involves building thought forms for what we desire and disassembling those for what we don't.
This practice requires faith, a key component of the Witches' Pyramid. Why is faith so crucial? Because we must often defy what our senses tell us is real. We have to be able to say, "No, what I'm seeing is just the result of an old thought form I no longer want."
I am building a new thought form to replace the old one. To do this, I must see through the illusion of current reality and keep my new thought form empowered until it manifests.
If we lack faith and can’t keep the new thought form energized, it will fade. Two realities cannot exist in the same space. If we get discouraged by our current experience, it won’t matter how many affirmations or prayers we use. Those tools are for building the thought form we want to experience.
If we are always deflated by the world, we cannot bring a new thought form into existence. When working magic, we must suspend belief in reality as our senses report it. What seems real matters less than the reality we are creating.
Expanding the Sphere of Influence
What we know as real is our new thought form. This thought form becomes our reflection, replacing the old one. It happens as we become certain and have faith in it. We must refuse to believe in the old reality’s appearances.
This can be challenging. That’s why we must work within our current sphere of influence before expanding it. If faith in something feels impossible, our belief in magic suffers. It takes inner strength to say to your situation, “You’re not real. What’s real is coming.”
Most of us have a ceiling—a point where faith stops. That border is your sphere of influence. This isn’t about chasing crazy dreams. Learn to live in your new reality internally until you see it externally. To maintain faith, pursue goals that feel at least somewhat reasonable. Your definition of reasonable will expand with each success. We use tools to build new thought forms while living in an old reality.
For example, imagine you want to increase your income. You make $50,000 and want $80,000. That feels like a stretch, but it’s reasonable. There’s nothing wrong with it; you are entitled to it. But you must create the thought form of “$80,000 or more” and not be fooled by the old thought form. Ignore your present reality long enough for the new one to blossom.
Think about something you’d like to have. It could be something you’re already working on or something new. Choose a goal that’s within your sphere of influence, but still feels like a stretch. Hold that idea in mind.
Now, look back on anything in your life that used to be a problem but is no longer one. Think of something you can point to and say, "I'm so much more successful in this area of my life than I used to be."
Shifting to a New Reality
And then shift back to your desire that seems like a bit of a stretch, and put that same process onto that new desire, that new goal. Remember when this used to feel like such a stretch for me, and now it's just so easy? And just own that new reality for yourself. Step into that new experience.

Experience what it feels like as if it used to be hard, but now it's just normal. That's a very powerful way to, quote, visualize something. Reframe your goal as something that once seemed so hard but now feels so easy.
It's helpful to relate it to other parts of your life. If nothing in your life is better than before, we have work to do. Working within your sphere of influence means yielding success.
So that's what you have to do first, before you can start that kind of stretching into things that seem closer to the edge of your sphere of influence. You need to rack up some successes. So pull back a bit for a while.
Get some spells cast that are a little tiny bit of a stretch for you so that you can start having some success. And then you'll be able to use those successes to feed into the goals that might seem like too big a stretch for you. When things aren't yet manifesting the way you want, don't give them any attention.
Just as you don't reinforce a child's acting out with negative attention, you don't reinforce it with positive attention either. The same goes for your old reality. If it doesn't seem to be fading away fast enough for you, don't give it any attention.
Reality As A Reflection
Don't fight with it. Don't complain about it. Go back to your experience of how fabulous it is that this new reality is manifesting.
And isn't it uncanny how easily this new reality comes into experience? So similar to how things used to be in these other areas of my life. It's such a trend for me to have this success happen with my magic. The more we can relate to the mirror of the third dimension as just mirroring old thought forms, and not letting ourselves get upset by the way those old thought forms are reflecting, nor getting really attached to the forms reflecting thought forms we do like.
When we recognize that it's nothing more than a mirror and that we have all the power over the thoughts we think and the forms of thought we create. We're going to leave the experience of time to itself. When you don't get caught up in the 'it needs to happen now' experience, why is it taking so long? Why is it taking so long? You actually speed up the time it takes for those things to manifest.
In fact, time becomes your friend. Time becomes your good friend if you're not reacting so negatively to it. Is it here yet? Is it here yet? How long? How long? Why is it taking so long? Those kinds of questions reinforce the idea that time is not your friend, and that will be a reality.
The Meaning of Time
If the screen of space isn’t reflecting your reality, it doesn’t bother you. When you stop worrying about timing, things speed up. Time collapses for you.
The only way for you to collapse time and speed things up is to stop caring about time. Time is also a reflection. Three dimensions are time and space.

You can't have space without time here, and vice versa; they work together. And none of that is really your concern because it's nothing more than a mirror. And so if you're getting all upset with the mirror, you're feeding a new thought form that I have: so much to be upset about regarding how long things take here.
But if you withdraw, none of these things will move me, because the only thing in charge right now is my thought form. My thought form is much more powerful than the screen of space. In fact, it's all-powerful over the screen of space.
You become unconcerned with how quickly or slowly things are manifesting for you. It happens in an instant. The best thing you can do with a spell is to completely forget about it and get very busy doing something you love to do, something that you enjoy doing, immersing yourself in something.
Take your mind completely off your spell. And what that does is it speeds up your manifestation significantly. Time then becomes your servant rather than your master.
Practice Makes Permanent, Not Perfect
You're no longer forcing a desired outcome onto time; instead, you're letting it unfold as it will. This is about both how we create our reality and our general attitude toward the physical world.
The physical world is simply a mirror. When you recognize this, you can experience it as such and not get so upset by it.
When you stop getting upset, you stop projecting upsetting thoughts onto your reality. As a result, upsetting experiences lessen, and what you desire begins to manifest. Not only that, but it frees up a significant amount of your energy to focus on what you truly want to do.
When you care less about what's happening in the physical world and more about the ideas behind it, you start to care more about people than things. You begin to see that neither you nor they truly live in this physical dimension, but in a higher one. When you're no longer disturbed by the coming and going of things, you feel more powerful. This changes how you interact with people, because you no longer see them as just three-dimensional beings.
Your need for transactional relationships diminishes. You're giving reality the freedom to be what it is without getting upset. In return, what's reflected back at you are your desires, intentions, and will.
This is a constant process, like going to the gym or practicing an instrument—a skill that requires daily practice. As you practice this "magic," you get better at it, and things start working out for you more and more.
However, if you practice your scales incorrectly for hours every day, you're only getting better at playing mistakes. Practice doesn't make perfect; practice makes permanent.
Perfect practice makes perfect. So, what you're practicing must be more than just the mechanics of manifestation. It must also include your perception of the world.
Perceiving the World as a Mirror
When you see the world as a mirror of your thoughts, your magical practice will be successful. But if you see it as a battle between you and the world, you'll only reinforce that conflict and won't get the results you desire. The more you can let go of your judgments about the world, the faster your manifestations will appear. Judging the world for not giving you what you want only creates more judgment. To cast an effective spell, you must also learn to perceive the world differently—seeing it as a reflection.

With a spell, you are simply choosing your preferred reality. If you can accept your current circumstances without judgment, it's only a matter of time before you start seeing the results you want, because there's nothing left to oppose them.
Take some time to reflect on everything in your life that has improved, no matter how small it seems. Ask yourself, "What's better than it used to be?" Even if the answer doesn't come immediately, asking the question plants a seed. When those moments of improvement come to mind, they are golden.
When creating a new reality for yourself, treat it as something you can now take for granted. By doing this and detaching from your judgments about the external world, you will start to see things happen quickly for you. Time will become your ally, not your enemy. You'll be combing your hair, not trying to comb the hair of your reflection in the mirror. You shape your world through your thoughts, not by directly manipulating the external world.
