Your Magic is For You! I intend all the different techniques and courses I teach to be used for yourself, not for others. There are several reasons for this. First off, doing magic for someone else without their permission is not helping them, it's attacking them. How would you feel if someone came into your home without your knowledge or consent and completely redecorated it to suit their tastes? Even if this was done with the best of intentions, it would not feel good at all—it would feel like exactly what it was: a violation of your privacy and your freedom. But what about working magic to benefit other people WITH their permission? Avoid Magical Debt On All Sides First, if you are not very experienced in magic to begin with, you are best advised to learn your craft by practicing on yourself, especially until you know what you are doing and have a track record of success in doing it. Second, if people are asking for your help, and they truly think magic will work, then they should learn how to practice magic themselves. You get out of magic what you put into it. The only way someone can get decent results from magic is to either learn to practice it themselves, or to pay an expert to do the magic for them. Otherwise you are helping the person to be indebted to you. You had better really have a lot of experience and a good understanding of what you are doing if you are going to charge money to perform magic. The Craft is extremely efficient at keeping itself equalized. If you take payment on behalf of the Craft and you aren't capable of delivering, you will have a debt that has to be paid by you. If you work magic to better yourself, you are always in a safe space, and it's completely debt-free. This is because you are using it for a right purpose. When you work magic for others, you are often meddling where you don't belong. Bless Others and Save the Spells for Yourself Is it right to be supportive of people when they need you? Of course it is! Is it right to send blessings to people who are in need? Absolutely it is right! Is it right to visualize light surrounding these people and seeing them happy, healthy and free along all lines? Of course it is! But that doesn't mean you cast a spell on them. Save that for your own life. It's what your magic is for. The exceptions are your immediate family. Immediate family is a very different thing. Give them all the magic you know if they need it, but don't practice or experiment on them. Only use tried and true spells that you have experience with. Magic as self care gives us unimaginable power to thrive beyond our wildest dreams. Magic to "fix" the world always seems to have unintended backfires, and for me, it is magic best left unperformed. All magic has a price. Nothing comes from nothing. In the realm of spirit, giving and receiving are one; however, in this world, giving must always precede receiving. When you have a desire, ask your inner guidance, “what can I give that will hasten the realization of this desire?” Then listen and wait to receive your answer. It may come in a flash, or you may get the answer later. Stay aware as you go about your day, and the answer will come. When you give, do so with joy and gratitude. Begrudging giving is not giving at all, it is sacrificing. If the price of your magic is painful, then you are trying to accomplish something that is not good for you. It's important to stop trying to get something for nothing. Remind yourself frequently that everything has a price. This is wonderful news! Since everything has a price, we can have whatever we desire, as long as we are truly willing to pay that price. We always pay the price for that which will harm us through sacrifice and pain; however, the price for that which is good for us, we always pay through joy and gratitude. If you listen to the still, small voice within you, it will guide you to what and where to give. Sometimes it may inspire you to give money or tithes . Sometimes it might guide you to give items of clothing. Other times, it may show you to give grace and forgiveness. So often I will hear people say things like, "As soon as my spell manifests, I'm going to give," yet that is completely backwards. If you want to receive your good, you must make the first move. The power of achievement is completely in your hands. All magic has its price, so pay the price with joy, love, and gratitude, and watch as things manifest in the most perfect ways for you.

For those of you who like Psalm spells, I'm starting a six-day prosperity spell beginning Thursday, March 3, 2022. If you miss doing this spell with us live, you can easily complete it on your own! There will not be an online event for this spell. There are six Psalms in this collection. Starting Thursday, retire somewhere each day, and work one Psalm from the collection, using the Psalmic Formula, following the schedule given below. Do your very best not to miss a session. Work only one Psalm per day, but if you would like to work any of the Psalms more than once per day, feel free. At the end of the six days, you will have worked the entire collection once through. When there are areas in life that are dark, scary, and hopeless, there is always a way out. Just like Glinda told Dorothy, we have always had the power instantly to go home; our home is the realm of peace, health, and plenty. Within our own minds lies the key that unlocks the inner gates, which have been keeping us from our own good. If you feel as though you have misplaced this key, you can find it through the steady and regular practice of gratitude. When we take time out each day to think honestly of the people, things, and situations for which we are grateful, a potent force is released within us. The more frequently we engage in this practice of giving thanks, the more this force multiplies exponentially. When in the throes of any kind of negative situation, the last thing most people consider doing is giving thanks, yet that is the very thing that will turn things around. You can prove this to yourself. Take seven straight days where you begin and end your day with a list of at least twenty things for which you have genuine gratitude. Take time with this. Ponder the items on your list, don’t just rattle them off like a parrot. At the end of this seven-day period, look back and notice how different your life looks already. This should offer all the proof you need to continue the practice. When things look bad, get busy with gratitude. When things look good, stay busy with gratitude. Let the disciplined and definite daily practice of giving thanks bring you immense reward. It costs nothing but a few minutes of your time, and its rewards are infinite.

Did you know you already have within you all that is required to get your needs met right now? Start by relaxing your body. Go through your body and relax it, bit by bit. Breathe gently but deeply to facilitate this process. Next, quiet your mind. A great method for quieting the mind is something I call The Magic Minute : The Magic Minute Close your eyes. and begin to breathe comfortably. Notice your breathing for a few moments. Begin to silently repeat the word "Blessed" in your mind each time you inhale. On each exhale, silently repeat the word "Be." Keep this simple practice up for a minute or longer. Cast a Simple Spell Next, begin to see yourself being, doing, or having an example of the experience you want. For example, if it is money you need, see yourself checking your bank balance and seeing it be the amount you desire. Keep your mental movie short enough that you can see it on a mental "loop." Keep repeating this visual loop over and over as you stay in a relaxed state. While you are seeing your mental loop being repeated, begin to chant a simple statement that your desire has been fulfilled. For example, chant, "I am grateful that these needs have all been met in Divine order and through Divine Love." The whole process doesn't need to take more than five or ten minutes. Release Your Spell Repeat this simple spell several times during the day for several days. The first sign that your spell is working is that you will stop feeling worried or upset about the issue. Once you feel a sense of peace and certainty about the matter, you know your spell has "taken," and the manifestation is simply a matter of time. Once you feel your spell has taken, just forget about the matter completely and allow the resolution to manifest in its perfect time and in its perfect way. You can use your inner powers to be victorious in all areas of your life.

How do you feel when you wake up in the morning? This feeling is what you are carrying into your day. The feeling that we carry into our day sets the tone for how we create our day. If you tend to wake up feeling irritable, depressed, fearful or low, it’s very helpful for you to have a regular morning practice to clear your emotions and to focus your mind. By consciously choosing to start your day in a certain way, you can create according to the energy you desire, rather than just bringing up dross from your unconscious mind and creating through that dross unconsciously. Your practice doesn’t have to be a long, complex, or difficult one. The first thing when you wake up, regardless of the emotion you are experiencing, say to yourself, “I dedicate this day to Infinite Love. Infinite Intelligence guides my every thought, word, and deed. My soul is in charge of my day, as it brings about all the righteous desires of my heart. Blessed be.” Then take a moment to wait in the silence. Your inner teacher may give you guidance. You may receive a message. You may get a moment of healing. When you feel ready, open your eyes and start your day knowing that you have done an extremely powerful thing. In claiming your own day for yourself, rather than allowing the law of averages to have its way, you are changing your life profoundly, one day at a time.

On the Tree of Life of the Hermetic Qabalah, Sphere number six is the Sphere of the Sun. The Sun represents the Universal Life Principle. It is called the Sphere of the Miraculous. This sphere represents the force of the universe that is capable of doing for us what we cannot do for ourselves. To invoke the power of this sphere, I use a technique called The Solar Light. The Solar Light is the force that has all power to heal and correct. It has a reorganizing ability that takes every aspect of our minds, bodies, and affairs and reorganizes them so that they conform to the Divine Design. To call on the Solar Light is simplicity itself. Simply relax your body and mind for a moment. See a beautiful ray of golden sunlight pouring through the crown of your head. See this light moving down your spinal column, lighting your spine up with Solar Light. Next, see this beautiful golden Solar Light move into your bloodstream. See your bloodstream carry this beautiful light to every cell and atom of your body. Then see the Solar Light move into your respiratory system. Breathe the golden light into every part of your body, mind, and affairs as you see your entire aura glowing with rich, Solar Light. Tell yourself that The Solar Light now heals you. The Solar light now reorganizes every aspect of your life to conform to the Divine Design. Give thanks that this is so. I have recorded a Solar Light audio meditation for your use. You possess a Special Wand of Power. You can wave your Special Wand of Power over any circumstance and watch it change. What is this Special Wand of Power? It is your ability to choose . Your thoughts are the magic that creates your experiences in the world. You can choose your thoughts. You may think you don’t have a choice over what you think; perhaps that's because you are used to just going along with whatever thoughts that happen to present themselves to you at any given moment. Instead of entertaining any thoughts that randomly occur to you, you can instead wave your Special Wand of Power and make a choice. You can choose to think any thought you desire. These new thoughts that you choose whenever you wave your Wand, can then get busy changing circumstances that reflect themselves. This is so much better than just putting up with the experiences that are reflecting the thoughts you have been thinking by rote for so long. You can prove this for yourself. The next time you notice yourself getting upset for any reason, say to yourself, “I have a Special Wand of Power that I can wave over this situation.” Then substitute any thought you desire to think in place of the thought which is causing you upset. Choose your thoughts wisely. For instance, If you are having an argument with someone and your habitual thought is, "She's so stupid. She has no idea what she's talking about." You can silently say to yourself, "I have a Special Wand of Power that I can wave over this situation." Then chose a thought that will bring you peace in the moment. You might think, "I forgive her and I sincerely wish her all the blessings of life." Once you wave your wand, take stock. How have things changed? How is the energy different? Perhaps you need to wave your wand more. Perhaps once feels like it's enough for now. If this seems like a very unique way of dealing with undesirable situations in your life than you are used to, you may need to commit yourself to waving your Special Wand of Power again and again until the magic “takes.” This kind of magic grows through use, like a muscle. Wave your Special Wand of Power over every situation that causes you distress today and notice the ways these situations melt like ice cubes in the sun.

If you worry that you are under a curse, a hex, or just in a funk of your own making, this age-old uncrossing spell will be very helpful to you. It doesn't matter the origin of the curse, this spell can take care of it. I first learned this spell in the late '70's from the late, great Al Manning. There is a copy in his classic book, Helping Yourself with White Witchcraft. This spell requires: 1. A lemon 2. a knife, 3. a large quantity of salt, 4. a bowl. This spell best performed during the waning moon. Any day of the week is fine. 1. Thinly slice the lemon into even-sized rings thinking of the condition you wish to be released from. 2. Place the lemon slices in the bowl while chanting: "All spells within me congregate Within this lemon that's your fate; Sour spell to sour fruit, You must go there 'cause that's your suit; Bound to this lemon evermore, Each spell against me that's your store; In the lemon now I see, and As I will so mote it be." 3. Cover the lemon slices completely with salt, chanting: "Uncrossed, uncrossed this salt for me, Break up attacking energy; Within this sour lemon bound Kills all spells with salt and sound As lemon dries with salt and air I'm freed from harm and all despair Uncrossed and happy now you see, and As I will so mote it be." 4. Store the bowl with the lemon and salt somewhere where there is air and that it can dry and be undisturbed. Check it every few days. If you find mold or mildew, it means the spell didn't take and needs to be repeated. Once the lemon dries completely with no mold, then the spell is complete. Work it as many times as you need to in order for you to have all the lemon slices perfectly dried with no mold or mildew present. 5. Throw the remains away in the garbage with no ceremony.

When I post videos or articles on Psalm magic , I get comments and questions from both Christians and non-Christians alike about using "Christian writings." The Psalms were written CENTURIES before the supposed birth of Christ. While it is true that the character Jesus worked Psalms in many of the stories in the New Testament, the Psalms did not come from him, his teachings, nor his followers. The Psalms were included in the ancient Hebrew Bible (called the "Old Testament" by Christians), and were a part of the established religious structure of the culture out of which Christianity was born, yet that does not make the Psalms Christian in origin. Many Christians pray the Psalms as part of their religious practices. This fact does not make the Psalms inherently Christian in nature. From the perspective of the Psalmic Magical tradition I follow, the Psalms are much older than the versions which are contained in the Bible as we know it. While we respect all religions, including Judaism and Christianity, the Psalmic Magical Tradition is not necessarily a part of these religions. We work with the Book of Psalms as a distinct book, not necessarily as part of the Bible. We do not consider Psalm Magic to be "Bible Magic" per se, because we view the Psalms as having been APPROPRIATED by the ancient Hebrew scribes, not COMPOSED by them. To us, Psalms are neither Christian nor biblical in nature. To us, the Book of Psalms is a standalone spell-book written by ancient cultures, the magic of which many of us find to be unparalleled.

You wield great power in this world , but the world has probably taught you for your entire life that the opposite is true. Therefore, you don't even know that this great power is available to you. Think of your surface mind as a gardener and your deep mind as the fertile earth in which seeds of any kind will grow and thrive. Then consider the thoughts your conscious mind entertains and cherishes as being the seeds the gardener is planting. Experiment with this concept. Take an entire week and pore over the thoughts that you are choosing to contemplate about yourself, others, and all your circumstances. You may find this to be a daunting task, but don't let it be. Allow your emotions to be your guide. Your emotions reveal which seeds are germinating. If you are feeling a negative or tense emotion, think of it as thought-seeds of fear, tension, hatred, sickness, poverty, etc. that are growing in your garden. If you are feeling relaxed emotions, see them as the fresh growth from seeds of love, joy, peace, plenty, healing, etc. During your week of experimentation, at the end of each day, think back over your day and recall any negative emotions, thoughts, or occurrences you had that day. Let go of your grievances, upsets, and tensions. Allow yourself to feel peace about these situations and these people prior to going to sleep. Working in this manner, you are literally digging up the weeds you don't want in your garden, and allowing the good that do you want to thrive. After a week of doing this, you will see results that may surprise or even amaze you. Once you prove to yourself that you wield this power, things will never be the same for you again, and that's a splendid thing.

I get a great deal of mail asking me to give explanations about things written in books such as the 6th and 7th Books of Moses and The Secret of the Psalms by Godfrey Selig. These are books written about Psalm magic which are not a part of the magical current of the Psalmic Path I follow. Our Psalmic Magical tradition states clearly that in Psalm Magic, one needs nothing but a psalm for maximal magical effectiveness. Our Psalmic Path forbids nothing . One may add anything they like to their Psalmic Magic practice. Many magicians on our Psalmic Path include things like talismans, traditional witchcraft, alchemy, and ceremonial magic in their Psalmic magical practice. The power of the Psalmic formula is neither strengthened nor diluted by these practices, and can therefore blend perfectly with them. While including things other than the Psalms is always permissible in anyone's practice, any Psalm Magic system that requires anything other than a Psalm for magical effectiveness has thus revealed that it is not a part of our ancient Path. Many of these systems are rife with superstition, and most do not incorporate any form of the Psalmic formula. If a person wants to include the rituals from these other Psalmic magical systems, they, of course, are at liberty to do so. But these additions shouldn't be a substitute for the Psalmic Formula, nor should they be considered vital to the effectiveness of Psalmic Magic. Our Tradition only requires us to use the Psalmic Formula to get results: 1. Read the Psalm out loud, all the way through once, without stopping; 2. Go back through the Psalm, verse by verse, and do your best to find the occult meanings within the Psalm, and apply them to the situation at hand. The deeper we dig, the more treasure we will find, and the faster and more powerful will our magic be. No matter what kind of Psalm Spell we are casting, we keep casting it daily. We return to the Psalm (or collection of Psalms) that we are working every single day until we get a sense of peace and certainty about the situation in question. Once we feel this peace, we know our spell has taken. Then we stop casting and release the spell. We forget about it completely and move on to something else. We go about our lives and do what is in front of us to do, claiming divine guidance and divine right action at every turn. This type of attitude in our daily living gives the spell we have cast a means by which to manifest. Add anything you like to your Psalmic Practice and enjoy it, but always remember that in Psalm Magic, one needs nothing but a psalm for maximal magical effectiveness.
